Meet Petey, he was surrendered from a hoarding house. He was apparently beat with a stick at some point and his front and back legs were broken. He was never took to a vet and they healed back on their own. Petey's front leg turns out some and his back leg he holds up some when it's cold out. However it does not effect his walking in any way. Meet Corker, he is a large, handsome mixed breed that was found in the road with his brother. Corker was so shy at first he would hide in his dog house and not come out. After some time and patience on the part of the foster she gained his trust. Her grand daughter would come by everyday and go inside the dog house with the dog loving on him until he finally got to where he would come out. He walks on a leash and rides well in a car. This is Buddy, He is a terrier mix that is about a year old. He was a stray that was found wandering. If given the chance he will take off from his home and be lost. Van Gogh is a happy fellow considering the rough time he has had. He was found abandoned, chained to a tree with one of his ears practically chewed off, just barely hanging on. Another dog had attacked him and chewed his ear almost off. It had to be amputated but with his coloring, you don't really even notice that it is missing and he has no hearing loss. Jasper is a young Lab/Hound mix that was found with his siblings. He is a very sociable young fellow that loves attention and is very active. He would do really well with a family that has lots of activities to keep him busy and a fenced in yard giving him plenty of room to get exercise. He weighs about 50 lbs and shouldn't get much bigger making him a good size for about any living situation. He has had some crate training and has done very well with it, so it shouldn't take much effort to finish his house training. Tom came from the farthest western part of the county. He walked out of the woods behind Tom & Patty Mcleod house, Tom McLeod believed he was abandoned at the hunting club a couple of miles behind his house. The club is actually in Perry County & the McLeod's have seen many of these hunting breeds show up at there home. Severely underweight with Erlicia this pure bred large Deer Hound was definitely built for the hunt. Tom was brought to Skyview to recover the summer of 2010. Upon arrival Terry noticed that at one time Tom suffered an injury to both front legs, each front lower leg showed signs of having been broken. Also Tom's ears ... Off leash Tom wonders close by returning often for encouragement, he is a hound however & his nose does hit the ground but he is still retrievable. This is Morris a very sweet and affectionate Boxer/Terrier mix. Morris came to us injured, his right paw was crushed. He was young probably less than a year old. This baby has been with us since 2009. He is very eager to please his human friends and gets along well with other dogs. He loves to play with a tennis ball and can retrieve the ball and play for a long time. His foot was injured but has since healed. We got word of him in March of last year. Prince showed up at this ladies house trailing a broken chain & an impacted collar on his neck. underweight, he hung at her house, even after her dogs tried to run it off. She began feeding him then contacted us. In our care we doctored the neck but he still has scaring around his throat. Currently he's healthy & back to his normal weight.
